Strengths: Blocking, both pass and run, is exceptional. Strength and size are ideal for a tight end. Basketball background lends him excellent leaping ability and good hands, albeit not good football hands…. yet.

Concerns: Not as fast as he could be and he could use a bit more seasoning as a senior.

Comments: Bennett possesses more raw talent than any tight end available in the draft. The fact that he can block despite not being a football player his entire life speaks to his ability to learn and apply his body to the game. Many good tight ends in the league come from basketball backgrounds but lack the ability to block effectively, they are simply big receivers off of the line. But Bennett’s strengths lie within his blocking ability. If he can develop his pass receiving ability, he will be an elite tight end in the NFL.
