Shockey Trade Shows Parallel of Saints and Cowboys Offense

July 30, 2008 by Lee · 2 Comments

FootballJabber.comThe Jeremy Shockey trade made me notice something about the New Orleans Saints offense.  They are beginning to look a lot like the Dallas Cowboys.  Intentional or not, there appears to be more of a parallel going on then the similar latitude for Dallas and New Orleans.

We all know that Sean Payton has a history with the Cowboys offense.  He ran the thing, right?  Now, I’m not talking about the X’s and O’s being the same.  I’m talking about the makeup of the talent in the skill positions.  With the Cowboys recent offensive success, this should have the Saints fans drooling a little bit. Top Ten Fantasy RB Commentary

July 29, 2008 by Lee · 3 Comments

Earlier this week we took a look at the Top Ten QB’s in our rankings.  Today we are going to take a look at the Top Ten RB’s.  I tell ya, I’m looking more and more at the fact that the #5 spot in a re-draft league would not be a bad place to sit.  You don’t have to stress over who to take and can let the rest of the league dictate who falls to you and still get a Joey Addai and an earlier pick in the 2nd round.  It really is a toss up in those top spots after LT (some would argue that should be Peterson).

Anyway, here is some commentary on the top 10.  You can see the rest of the RB rankings HERE. Read more

Top 10 Fantasy QB Commentary

Quarterback used to be a position you could wait a while on before pulling the trigger.  You can still wait until later rounds but there is a good chance you are going to be leaving a lot of points on the board and not maximizing your roster and draft picks. Read more

It appears that we may be on to something with our Triplets vs. Stud RB Theory and Comparing Draft Theories thoughts.  Kevin at the Fantasy Football Calculator Blog has some nice charts that appear to show that ADP trends may be supporting the idea that drafting two RB’s in the first two rounds is a thing of the past.  Go check it out for yourself!
