Fantasy Football Quick Reads

July 1, 2008 by Lee

Fantasy Football Quick ReadsThe smell of fireworks are in the air and the countdown to NFL Training Camps is underway as we roll into July…YEAH! I’m really liking this Fantasy Football Quick Reads.  It forces me to keep up with what is going on in the fantasy world as I seem to just keep getting caught up in real life stuff lately.  We don’t have time for no stinking real life stuff, do we?  Naw…let’s get to the Quick Reads to help dominate your fantasy football league and draft in 2008!

  • The Hazean has a new look and new features.  The new post for the regular series “The Rookie Report” is up.  Word is out on Adrian Arrington…
  • There has been a reconstruction of the Fantasy Football Librarian’s digs as well.  A whopping 62% find the new layout easier to read!  Personally I think it is more like the smiling, eager to help, vibe of the front desk of the library rather than the dark, scary, archives.  Go have a look for yourself and please vote in the sidebar.
  • The FFGeekBlog.com goes over the Fred Taylor vs. MJD debate in their new “Ask the Geeks” series.
  • The Fantasy Football Goat continues to roll out the analysis on the Offensive Lines. Now up…AFC East.
  • Pancake Blocks takes a look at the not so effective hold out result for Earnest Graham.
  • FantasyFootballFools.com have their Offseason Fantasy Quarterback Rankings up.  Ranking Peyton Manning out of the top two is asking for trouble!
  • The Bruno Boys take a look at the Raiders.
  • KFFL has some early cheatsheets out.  This is to get an idea with the mandatory dislaimer that they are subject to change often.
  • Checkout Fantasy Football Xtreme’s Player Spotlights.  Today they have a look at that guy that is a big question mark, Larry Johnson.  Oh how a year can change things!
  • Football Guys face off over Joseph Addai.
  • The Huddle is in subscription mode.  You can get a preview of their thoughts on the rookie QB’s HERE.
  • Ultimate Fantasy Football Strategy gives the Top 10 Overrated Players.
  • Year number three can be big for fantasy WR’s.  Have a peek at what Profantasysports.com has to say on it.
  • Fantasy Football Sharks has a look at the rookie wideouts.
  • Who do you take?  Portis or McGahee?  I took them both in a Dynasty league this spring.  I didn’t tihnk it was bad considering I traded out of the first round.
  • FFToday’s weekly “Gut Check” looks at the loads of fantasy RB’s.
  • No Offseason (realy love their page layout…looks familiar) looks at IDP Sleepers at the DE position.
  • What kind of impact will Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez have?  RotoTimes.com has some answers for you!
  • Christopher Harris at ESPN takes a look at why you should move to an Auction format.  If you do ahve a look at our Fantasy Football Auction Prep piece.
  • Sportsline takes a look at the fantasy impact of the teams.  The latest…The Packers and Browns.

I would say that it’s asking for trouble when one of your most dependable receivers have bum knees and hot Bavarian pistols! :)

Even still, I’ll call him a 2B. (That’s not completely out of the top 2). Thanks for the link!

*has, not “have” - I had to correct that. It’s post-coffee and pre-happy hour, so there’s no reason for grammatical mistakes.

Feel free to leave some Jabber...
