Give Yourself the Fantasy Football Edge With Sports Data Hub
August 2, 2008 by Lee
I have been waiting for this site to launch for quite some time and this morning I was given the word that it is ready to launch! Myself I can spend hours on statistics and Sports Data Hub let’s me play with those in a whole new way with a focus on fantasy football.
One of the things we fantasy football nuts look at are trends. Thinking about the fantasy playoffs already and wondering who is going to give you the goods at QB?
With a few clicks of the mouse I was able to bring up the Passing TD leaders in weeks 14,15, and 16 from 2004-2007. Matt Hasselbeck leads with 14 TD’s in week 14 over the last four seasons, Drew Brees comes in at 12. Great! We can have these guys lead us through the fantasy playoffs, right? Well, slowdown Cowboy. They both drop to 4 TD’s in week 15, averaging one per year. Week 16 Hasselbeck stays at four and Brees goes up to five.
The moral of the story here? In the last four seasons Drew Brees and Matt Hasselbeck have tore it up the first week (week 14) of the fantasy playoffs for many leagues. BUT, they both had a significant drop the next two weeks leaving fantasy owners with less points at QB if they were lucky enough to advance. You really have to check this out because a description written here cannot do it justice.
You can get a quick rundown and a visual by watching this….
The statistical side of Sports Data Hub is only part of the attraction here. You can also search details, summaries, and trends on Coaching stats, Player Projections, and Player Rankings. Fun, huh? There are also all kinds of personalized options you may enter including feeds and links from your favorite sites to track your fantasy stuff in one place as well as “My Fantasy” where you can enter information from your various teams.
SportsDataHub’s My Fantasy Teams lets you enter and save your fantasy rosters for all of your leagues. You can then leverage our wealth of data to give your teams the edge they need. Click the ‘Create Team’ button to get started. Once you’ve created your teams, they’ll show up on this page each time you return.
Anyone at least a little bit interested in winning their fantasy football league should give this site a look. Anyone interested in dominating their league must give this a look. Fantasy Football aside, my wife has had a hard time pulling me away from sorting stats and viewing trends already today. I can just imagine how it’s going to be for the poor lady once the season gets started!
