Time to bring out the bedpan again as we roll closer to the season and the last weekend for Fantasy Football Drafts. Keep an eye on the Bedpan throughout the season when considering your start-sit decisions.
Peyton Manning went through all the motions except playing in the actual game Thursday night for the Colts. Tony Dungy is confident he will be a go for week one.
“Every step we’ve taken has been good,” coach Tony Dungy said. “I’d be very, very surprised if he’s not ready to go.”
Still no sign of Jeremy Shockey on the field for the Saints. It’s said to be precautionary, not a leg issue. How about this though…Deuce McAllister is playing, although pedestrian.
Vince Young hurt his throwing hand banging it on a helmet in the Titans final preseason game. No worries…I mean other than the usual worries with their passing game.
“He’s fine, he just has a little bruise. He really could have finished,” Fisher said. “It happened early in second quarter and he threw the ball without a problem. It is really not an issue. He’s not going to be limited.”
Donnie Avery, the rookie WR for the Rams, saw his chance to shine against the Chiefs cut short with a sprained knee. Should be fine but with Drew Bennett out it can be viewed as a little bit of a missed opportunity for him.
Not an injury issue but Brandon Marshall will now only sit one game for his suspension. Looking at Fantasy Football Rankings you can now move him up a little bit since you are not looking at as many points lost for missed games.
IDP Players:
You have to think that Shawn Merriman is an IR move in your IDP league waiting to happen. Despite all the Doctors say he is ready to play with the two torn ligiments.
“To be as simple as possible, I just want to play football,” Merriman said. “That’s what it comes down to. I know what’s on the table, I know what’s on the line. I put a lot of work in this and I want to play.”
Antrel Rolle is expected to play in the preseason game Friday for the Cardinals.
Will Witherspoon and his groin continue to sit out.
