10 Free Fantasy Football Links

Remember Fantasy Football Magazines? I could not wait each year for their arrival and started gobbling them up as soon as they hit the stand. To be honest though, I have not bought one in years. With the free information on the internet (as we bring you here at Football Jabber), it is hard for me to buy outdated material. Of course, you have to be wary of the info you consume online (again, we will sift through it and feed it to you), it just feels better to know you are going into your draft with the most up to date information possible. As the season gets closer we will bring this info to you on a regular basis.

Anyway, if you do purchase magazines each year, it can be tough to make a decision on which to buy at around $7.99-$8.99 a pop. Fantasy Football Oasis has taken the time to review them for you.

The Fifth Down Blog has a write up on maximizing value by position and round. Taking the time to soak it up could be the difference between you and your league mates that are just following cheat sheets.

In the days of Points Per Reception and Running Backs sharing time, the Wide Receiver is the in thing in Fantasy Football. Mike Harmon at FoxSports.com has a write up on how to take advantage of that.

Pat Fitzmaurice at Pro Football Weekly gives a glimpse of his draft board. I don’t know why it is odd to see Peyton Manning at the top of the QB Rankings. He is one of the best QBs in history and one of the more consistent fantasy QBs of all time. Maybe consistency is it because he rarely finishes at the top of the heap.

A nice Tight End write up by Jamey Eisenberg at CBSSports.com. I have been thinking over the last couple of years about the new wave of young TEs that are coming into the league. It looks like they are coming to shape this year.

There are going to be a million articles on Favre and the fallout on the Vikings players if/when he retires. We are not going to get that far into it, but here is what Fantasy Joe has to say at USA Today.

IDP Rankings from Yahoo Sports broken into tiers.

Cory J. Bonini at KFFL has a look at Players on the Upswing.

FantasyKnuckleheads.com have a look at Josh Freeman being a sleeper. Just picked him up as a #2 QB in a deep 16 team league with IDP. You can get him late since people are concerned about his rookie WRs.
