Getting a late start on this weeks Fantasy Footbaill Injuries That Matter this week, so let’s get right to the point. Here is a listing for some guys if you are debating on who to start and who to sit based on injury in week four of the NFL season.

Bye Weeks, another week for players to mend on these teams: Dallas, Kansas City, Minnesota, Tampa Bay

Matthew Stafford, Lions: Just an update here as Stafford is not expected to play. He could possibly be back next week, so picking him up cheap for a week six bye week filler may be an option for you if he looks decent in week five.

Running Back:

Ray Rice, Ravens: Rice owners have been dissapointed with their high draft pick so far. They will be with his Questionable status this week as well. Despite the listing, it appears that Rice will get the privilege of going against the Steelers Defense this week.

Steven Jackson, Rams: Go in another direction if you can. Jackson did not join the Rams on the field this morning and it wouldn’t kill them to let his groin rest a week.

Pierre Thomas, Saints: Although Thomas practiced on Friday it isn’t looking good for the starter when a team brings on a fourth running back for game day. The Saints signed DeShawn Wynn this week and he falls behind Ladell Betts and Chris Ivory. If Thomas does not go Betts will fill his role.

Ryan Mathews, Chargers: Mathews has been practicing this week and it appears he is back in the saddle.

Cedric Benson, Bengals: Benson has a Probable listing this week with his knee. You should be fine starting him and watch what he does against a Browns defense.

Jerome Harrison, Browns: Harrison’s thigh injury is getting better and he is looking at a Probable listing. Injury aside it appears that the Browns are liking what they are seeing from Peyton Hillis right now and he may get a bulk of the carries. Owners should start someone else if they have someone comparable.

Joseph Addai, Colts: Addai and his knee are Questionable for the rivalry game against the Jaguars. He played on it last week with a subpar output. May be a good week to go in a different direction if you can.

Clinton Portis, Redskins: Portis has been practicing, but it appears that the Skins may like Ryan Torain for the early down carries. Portis may have lost his RB2 role on fantasy squads for the season. Stay Tuned…

Wide Receiver:

Andre Johnson, Texans: Johnson is listed as Questionable and his owners have likely been looking for other options all week. While he says he is doing everything he can to play, you may not want to wait on his late start unless you have an option playing later than him to plug in if he can’t go at game time.

Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals: No injury! It appears that Fitz is finally going to be close to 100% for this week’s game at San Diego.

Michael Jenkins, Falcons: Jenkins is looking like a game time decision with his shoulder. We would think you would have moved on by now with someone like Harry Douglas if you want someone other than Roddy White or Gonzo that catches balls for Atlanta.

Pierre Garcon, Colts: Garcon stayed home this week and will watch the Colts and Jags game from there.
